The Highway will be CLOSED for work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7am to 4.30pm and on Friday from 7am to 3pm.

The highway will be OPEN on weekends, Mondays, during school holidays, public holidays and for special events as follows:

  • Thursday 14 to Friday 22 August
  • Tuesday 30 September to Friday 10 October
  • Friday 24 October
  • Tuesday 4 to Friday 7 November
  • Wednesday 12 to Friday 14 November.

Please note, when the highway is open there is ongoing slope stabilisation work in sections and motorists can only pass in one direction at a time. Allow extra travel time. Road closure lines provided by Google Maps may not be up to date.

What are the works?

  • Dahlsford Drive intersection with Ocean Drive will be closed to allow construction of the future intersection as part of the Ocean Drive Duplication project.

Location of activity?

  • The works will be located at the intersection of Ocean Drive and Dahlsford Drive.

When is the activity scheduled to occur?

  • Work is scheduled to commence 8.00pm Monday 5th May 2025 and is expected to be completed by Monday 8th September 2025. Construction activities will occur between the hours of 7am - 6pm Monday to Friday however the closure will remain in place for the entirety of the dates. All work is weather dependent.

How will traffic be affected?

  • There will be no access to Dahlsford Drive at the intersection of Ocean Drive.
  • Dahlsford Drive will be accessible via Pacific Drive and Livingstone Road.

What are the impacts for residents and businesses?

  • Residents and businesses, including visitors will not be able to access Dahlsford Drive from Ocean Drive.
  • Increased traffic at Livingstone Road intersection with Pacific Drive due to traffic detouring via this location
  • Busways will retain their routes
